Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 10, 2026

1. Overview

MoveOps is an inventory and handoff tool for organizing a move-out sale. This policy explains what information MoveOps processes, why it is used, when it may be visible to others, and the choices available to you.

2. Information MoveOps processes

  • Inventory information: item titles, descriptions, categories, prices, quantities, condition, status, room location, caretaker notes, and pickup details entered by the caretaker.
  • Photos: images selected from the device or captured with the camera when the caretaker chooses to attach them to an item.
  • Buyer and transaction information: buyer name or contact information, reservation details, payment status, and pickup status when the caretaker enters those details.
  • Authentication information:the access passcode used to sign in. The mobile app stores the passcode in the device's secure storage and sends it to the MoveOps API to authenticate protected requests.
  • Usage and analytics information: routes or screens viewed, feature interactions, searches and filters, contact-channel clicks, sign-in events, and item lifecycle events. Analytics may also include basic device, browser, and network information. MoveOps does not intentionally send buyer contact details or caretaker notes to its analytics provider.
  • Technical information: limited server logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as request time, response status, and basic network information.

3. How information is used

MoveOps uses information only to:

  • provide inventory, reservation, sale, payment, pickup, and handoff features;
  • display buyer-facing item listings selected for publication;
  • authenticate caretaker access and protect private inventory fields;
  • store and deliver item photos;
  • understand feature usage and improve the service; and
  • maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

MoveOps does not sell personal information and does not use information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Public and private inventory fields

The public sale page may display item titles, categories, asking prices, quantities, availability, descriptions, condition, and photos. Private fields, including minimum price, room location, location photos, caretaker notes, buyer information, payment status, and reservation windows, are restricted to the authenticated caretaker interface.

Do not enter sensitive information into a field intended for public display.

5. Camera and photo access

MoveOps requests camera or photo-library access only when you choose to add a photo. The app does not access photos in the background. You can decline or revoke these permissions through your device settings, although photo attachment features will then be unavailable.

6. Service providers and sharing

MoveOps relies on service providers that process information only to operate the service, including MongoDB for database hosting, Cloudinary for image storage and delivery, PostHog for product analytics, and application hosting and infrastructure providers. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the service.

7. Retention and deletion

Inventory and related information is retained while it is needed to operate the sale and maintain necessary records. The caretaker can edit or delete inventory items in the app. To request deletion of other information associated with MoveOps, contact the address below. Limited records may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, or legitimate operational needs.

8. Security

MoveOps uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS for production network traffic, server-side authorization, restricted public data responses, and secure device storage for the access passcode. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Children's privacy

MoveOps is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information through MoveOps, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when MoveOps features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is posted.

11. Contact
